dBpowerAMP R17 - shell extension right click tag edit

just upgraded to dBpowerAMP R17, 32bit installation on Windows 10 x64.

Right click tag edit is not working, only empty fields are shown.

    Was no problem in R16.6

You have to be in the main folder where the files are stored

Let's say you have this structure of folders: \Pat Banatar\Greatest Hits\(all the files here)
if You right click on Pat Benetar folder it won't work
You need to right click on the Sub-folder "Greatest Hits"

It is independent from audio format. It does not work for flac, dsf, mp3, aac seems to be a general problem with the shell extension. Example attached

The issue seems to be in passing the filenames to the tag editor. You are using Windows File Explorer?

Why did you install the 32 bit version?

That happends in Windows Explorer and Speedcommander 16 x64. I use the 32-bit version in Windows 10 x64 because of the VST support in the 32-bit version.

I had the same installation, 32-bit version on Windows 10 x64, for dBpowerAMP R16.6 and right click tag edit was never an issue.

As a test uninstall dBpoweramp, then install the 64 bit version please. Does that work? then try the 32 bit version again and let me know please.

I did as adviced above an can confirm that in the 64-bit installation the right click tag edit does work as expected, but after going back to the 32-bit installation the problem occured again.

All fixed in R17.1, see the testing section of this forum (it should go full release in about 3 weeks).

If you have paid to upgrade to R.17, all subsequent R.17.x release are free.
