    QNAP TS-231 Compatible?

    It's time to retire my trusty old Windows home server but I would like to continue to use Asset so have been looking at QNAP NAS solutions. Would I be able to run Asset on a QNAP TS-231, which uses this processor;

    Freescale™ ARM® Cortex®-A9 dual-core 1.2GHz processor

    Thanks

    Yes is supported, the x31 release of Asset.

      Thanks. I've purchased and installed the NAS and have the trial version of Asset installed.

      A couple of questions if I may;

      I have 'favourites' set up on my TuneIn account - can I have those favourites available on my control point as its a pain to have to browse to a station everytime.

      I note V5 of Asset includes DSD processing - is there an ETA for V5 on the QNAP platform yet (I have a DAC that is DSD capable).

      Cheers

      Ray

        On the asset configuration page is a section where you can set the radio time username, restart asset after setting.

        The ETA is more than 2 months away.

          Yes, I've done that but no 'favourites' on the control point and I was expecting to enter a TuenIn password. Is it because I'm still using a trial version of the software on the QNAP?

          Thanks. In the meantime I've installed V5 Beta 8 on my laptop and I plan to try DSD playback shortly - will feedback when I do.

            Regarding TuneIn favourites, some further information;

            I've checked my TuneIn account and have radio stations set up in my library there. I've tried changing both my TuneIn username and email account. I've added my TuneIn usename to Asset 4.4 on my QNAP and Asset V5 Beta 8 on my laptop and used both BubbleUPnP and Kinsky as control points; I see no sign of my TuneIn favourites in any setup.

            I can browse InternetRadio on the control points and selected stations play but that's not very convenient.

              I've now purchased Asset for my QNAP and it made no difference to the TuneIn favourites not being visible.

              My TuneIn favourites work on my Android device so I assume the account is not the problem.

              Thanks

                    Nothing, it was an issue with Tunein.
