Both discs are blank if I load a fresh version of CD Writer.

After writing, put the disc back in the dvd writer, what does it show?

At the same time that I originally recorded the disk mentioned, I also recorded some other discs. On trying to read one of those, file manager asked how to format it. I canceled out of the dialog and tried to play it with Clementine. That music player reports: "Error while loading audio CD".

There is still something wrong. I am using Verbatim CD-R discs.

You should not do anything to the disk before using CD Writer, formatting it, sets the disc as a data disk.

It seems that a CD is blank after CD Write

I am running Win7 and 32 bit mode dbPoweramp CD writer with windows drivers running ATAPI iHAS124 W.

I've used CD Writer to convert music files from my hard drive to my DVD RW drive. To confirm that the music is moved, I've tried to look at the CD with the same computer. It asked first how I wanted to access the drive - like a flash drive or some other way. I selected flash drive and it formatted(!) the CD. Of course it was empty.

So using the same disc, I fired up CD Writer again to write the same tracks. Again CD Writer did not complain. When I looked at the disc with file manager it was still blank.

I'm sure that I'm doing something wrong, but what? When I correct my ways, how will I be able to confirm that the burn succeeded?

    Thanks
    Steve
