Need help with FLAC directory/name settings and another question

Purchased the full DB package and an AMG subscription about 4 months ago. Its been great!

Im a bit confused on the auto directory/name stuff though. Ideally what I would like is the following

Single Artist: Artist (with Artist listed in the Artist field)- Album\Track-Title (Ive figured this one out)

Multi Artist (or Single Artist feat. another Artist): Album Artist (with <Various Artists> listed in the Artist field) - Album\Track-Title (I think Ive figured this one out too)

Compilation: Various Artists (with <Various Artists> listed in the Artist field) - Album\Track-Title (I can get it to do <Various Artists> in the Artist field when it sees a compilation CD but I cant get it to put Various Artists in the Album Artist name. Ive been having to type it in manually.

It seems like if I fix one thing I break another, so for a few months now Ive been living with cut & pasting when its a compilation. Im tired of clicking now

Now on to the hard questions. There is 2 things I wish to do but do not know if it can be done.

    1. Id like to auto-eject a CD when its done ripping to FLAC but ONLY if there were no errors. Or at the very least allow the results of the rip to be displayed after the CD is ejected. I am creating logs but its a pain in the ass to have to view a log to check for errors simply because I wasnt at the PC when the CD ripped. The only fix for this is to disable auto-eject but thats not acceptable anymore. I want to know when the CD is done by hearing/seeing the CD drive open.

    2. Im in the process of reflacing around 4000 CD's that Ive ripped to FLAC over the last few years. Its an archive so Im going from -5 to -8 and updating the FLAC version. My question is this... Can I use AMG to look up cover art for stuff Ive already ripped? All of the CD's have a folder.jpg in the folder however some of them are 4k some are 900k. Some are 80X80 and some are 600X600. Im trying to somewhat normalize the art in each folder to a consistent size/res.

    3. Last but not least can I use AMG batch update just the Genre or Date of all the already ripped files?

    Thanks!

Edit: Also how do I determine the version of Dbripper Im using? I dont see a help/about button

For the compilation, take out the [IFVALUE] part and just put "Various Artists" in the position for the artist.

    1. Not sure.
    2. Yes, as long as you have the option enabled when you rip, dMC will use the album art it pulled from AMG for the files and the folder.jpg.
    3. No, dMC will only tag files when ripping them. You will have to try a different utility to pull data from AMG and update your files.

I was referring to fixing the art in albums Ive already ripped, I guess Ill need another utility for that as well.

      Ok

Edit: Not working with single artists correctly. I think Ive screwed something up. Is it possible someone can help me with a string?

Try pasting your string here and we'll see if we can fix it.

RE 1 (viewing logs): in Secure Options set to add to the information log, then click the drop arrow next to Options button (on the main page) and set to show Information log after ripping.

                Try this, Tirade:
                Code:
                [IFCOMP][b]Various Artists[/b] - [album][IFMULTI] Disc [disc][]\[track]-[title][][IF!COMP][IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist][b],[artist][/b][] - [album]\[IFMULTI][][track]-[title][]
I bolded the changes that I made.
