Converting files to ringtones?

A friend told me I can convert my mp3 files to ringtones for my nextel phone. Is it really possible to do this and if so how?

The specifics for adding ringtones to a particular phone depends on the cell phone model and your wireless service provider. Generally speaking you will be better off checking those sources first although there are some third party resources for ringtones that you may find through the dB links I mentionned.
