I am a very green newbie!

I have some older Real Audio rmj files I am trying to burn to CD but get a message
"The CODEC required to decompress 'd:\My Music\02-TRA~1.ra' could not be opened.
DirectShow filter for '.ra' not installed, or Audio File Corrupt." I have been to Codec Central and converted rmj's to ra, downloaded the three codecs shown for Real Audio codecs and think I have installed them correctly but still cannot get my CDwriter to read the files.

Any suggestions?

Stephen

Did you install RealAlternative with the Real DirectShow filter? Also, you have to follow the instructions to let Real files be decoded:

Real Audio: Download 'Real Alternative' from http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/1054136293/1 (or search in Google for Real Alternative) add .ra .rpm .rm .ram .rmvb all on separate lines to Configure DirectShow Decoder
