PLease, Please, Pease; make a version of this super piece of audio software for the PPC. We got WMP (WMA and MP3,not too good overall), PocketDivx (MP3 and OGG, but not playlist and no IDTags) and others that just dont do the complete work. I would love to see this lil' program with all the feautures possible in the PPC, at least with FULL OGG Vorbis,MP3 and other formats with ID tags, playlist and a NICE user interface. let me know what u think guys.

Please guys. I would love a respond. Just let me know what u guys think. Imagine that: "PocketdAP have just been named software of the year for PocketPC for its great audio support : mp3, ogg, aac (if possible), mp4 for audio (aac in other words) ... all with equalizer , playlist and queue."
Imagine that!!!! It would be great!!!
Please reply to me.

Realistically I don't think dAP will find its way onto the PocketPC - demand is not large enough, as for getting the codecs onto the pocket pc - each one would have to be converted, not an easy task.

Maybe wait a few years and then see about it again, eh? :)

I for one will keep my fingers crossed, as I see interest in dMC growing on another forum for the Casio BE-300 http://www.ppx3k.com. There may yet be a market for dAP for pocketPC out there!

Um, I think you're underestimating the demand for the PocketPC market. Secondly, linking to some PPC sites announcing support would create quite the draw to the product. I liked the whole concept of being able to convert my MASSIVE music collection to a more portable format on the fly, but when I tried to do it directly to my PPC, it failed miserably. That really let me down. Since then, I've been forced to convert, then manually drag'n'drop, which can be cumbersome when I'm in a hurry....

Please reconsider PPC support. With the next generation of PPC units now rolling out, I think you'll see that demand grow quickly.

As a secondary note-

I noticed in other threads of others having problems seeing the PPC even with the 'removable device' driver. Perhaps finding linkage to put the converted files under the "My Pocket PC Document" file folder so the music is transferred to the device on sync. While it would be nice to have them put on the device immediately after conversion, I would be happy with having it stage the items in that folder for sync.

As a side note, Windows Media player is an absolutely dismal program to deal with. I've found some nice freeware apps (WinamPAQ) that support OGG and other formats, with developers that care about their users more than M$. Please put other formats in consideration when developing for PPC.

:) It is very similar to Windows - well it is a cut down windows, I am slowly converting my SClass range of helper code then something like dAP will be quite easy to port.
