Keyboard/MD to CD on PC

Hi,
Have ben putting stuff on tape for fellow music teachers for years as only one has MD player, which is my preferred medium.
Can you help me quickly learn how to burn directly to CD on my PC now please from audio inputs like MD or keyboard inputs?
