Updated to dMC R11's new tagging standard (fully unicode compliant), as well as extra information on the yellow popup:

http://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/dBpowerAMP-codec-wmav9.exe

270KB

** there is a issue with reading 24 bit or 6 channel audio files, they seem to come out as 2 channel 16 bit, this is being looked into **

Is this codec compatible with Media Player 10? since I installed XP SP2 and WMP10 I get the message 'The codec required to compress {Song Name} could not be opened'

If you installed SP2 and WMP 10 at the same time, the issue may involve SP2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling dMC (dbpowerAMP Music Converter) and codecs and reinstall them over SP2. See the following thread:

Best wishes,

It should be, has anyone else used dBpowerAMP with WMP 10?

I got Win XP Pro sp1 with Win Media Player 10 installed and it's working just fine both with dbPowerAMP 10.1 or 11beta5 release. No compatibilities there, just an issue on Windows Media Codec, that in VBR mode will create some pops and intteruption on the audio material. That happens even in AdobeAudition1.5, so it's NOT a dbPowerAMP bug.

My dear unregistered:
The simple answer to Spoon's question is "Yes".
We have some threads discussing various problems and solutions (and occasionally lack of problems) encountered in using the dMC wma v9 codec with WMP 10. Spoon has since issued a dMC codec for wma 9.1, which is the codec used for WMP 10. This is available from the Beta Test section of the Forums.

If you have a specific question, please post it.
