I totally agree with Spoon on the method of encoding to your hard disc. However, there are many other steps which can be performed along the way, depending upon the degree of quality you want in the final 'product'. Spoon couldn't possibly spare the time to go to the detailed instructions which have been put on the net by one contributor in particular, whose website is well worth reading; even if you are not interested, after reading it, in using all or any of the ideas which he puts forward !
