I just won a new 15GB ipod at a trade show. I have two creative players, nomad II and nomad II MG. Music library is mp3 and wma. Before I launch into reripping cd's etc. what would people recommend as the best setup to manage all three players. From the looks of it i should only use mp3 as that is the only thing that works with all three players. (Why doesn't the ***! ipod support wma???). Also, I'm reading some horror stories about the ipod battery, that it doesn't last long and was previously expensive to replace. I believe that they now offer a $99 US replacement and a service plan. Would someone recommend the service plan so I don't get hit with the battery replacement cost? Last thing, should I just sell it and buy a less proprietary model of hard drive player? Any comments are welcomed.

For best results, rerip to a lossless codec then convert to which format required (mp4 for iPod, or mp3 and wma for the other players), if you have Sveta it can do this on the fly.
