Hi,
No matter how I try I can't seem to get the speed on conversion that the dMC Power Pack should give?
Tried Rip to RAM alone (12-15 min/CD - wich is about the same as with no Power Pack in use) and together with encode at the same time, but the later is painfully slow (40-50 min for a CD!!!).
Before I found your program I have used the Windows Media Player (win 2000 pro-standard player) and an average CD would RIP in my PC at about 3-4 min for a 160 kbit/s .wma file.
What's wrong?

Try ripping to a Wave file, that will tell you the speed of your CD drive, if it is too slow have a look Support >> Audio CD Input, there is a program there that can set the ripping speed if it is too slow.

I've tried several ways to determine the speed of my Pioneer DVD-105 but none of the util's could handle it... it should be a 40x according to spec's but only seems to run at 12x now. I also have a Plextor 241040 that actually runs at 40x.
None of the drives will however perform better than running the DVD as input with all of the Power Pack Options disabled (the PC is a 1200MHz Athlon with 512MB RAM and 2x120GB in a RAID 0).
Is there something else I can try?

If a drive says it is 40 speed it does not mean it should rip at 40x speed, taking audio off the disc is different to reading files.

I have a 52x speed and the fastest I have ever seen any program go on that drive is 22x speed.
