Hi

Latest Foobar2000 mobile, Tunefusion 1.4

Some large songs are skipped in syncing to iPhone Foobar2000 mobile.

Sometimes if I delete the song from the source and rename+copy the file back, then the sync will pick it up but its inconsistent.

Seems to happen most often with songs 150MB+

This happen in TuneFusion 1.2 and now 1.4.

I've deleted the sync in Tunefusion and recreated it, deleted library through Foobar2000 and forced a full resync, but the missing songs still don't show up. Very annoying as this is the main reason I purchased TuneFusion, to sync these large files.

How do I troubleshoot this further?

Thanks,
Matt

Do this, trigger a sync, so that it thinks everything is completed. The main display says 'last sync incomplete' ?

Then take a file, rename it and trigger another sync, after the sync is completed. Then go on the settings page, there is an option there to view the last detailed log, post it here please.

Thank you for your reply Spoon,

Sorry in advance for the long post here. I spent the last hour and a half trying a couple different things and trying to be as descriptive as I could be. Hopefully something in the following helps diagnose the problem.

Do this, trigger a sync, so that it thinks everything is completed. The main display says 'last sync incomplete' ?

To start, I triggered another sync. It says "Last Sync 16:22 9/30/2020" -- it does not say "last sync incomplete".

Then take a file, rename it and trigger another sync, after the sync is completed. Then go on the settings page, there is an option there to view the last detailed log, post it here please.

I did this and I renamed a file that got skipped in the above sync, and ran another sync. I know the sync ran because it says "Last Synced 16:26 9/30/2020".

Unfortunately the file still did not show up in "TuneFusion Library" on my iphone's Foobar2000 mobile.

Here is the Console Log:

To try to be proactive and helpful, I took the step of adding a brand new music file to my desktop's Audio Source Folder and tried again.

This time it worked and transferred the new ~150MB file successfully.

Here is the console log:

Happy that it worked this time, I then added another new file to my Desktop's audio source folder and ran sync again. This was a 1.4 GB WAV. After about 2 minutes of "Preparing to sync...", it began Syncing the new file. But after about 10 minutes, it went back to "Preparing to sync...". After about 15 more minutes of this message, the "Last sync incomplete" message showed up.

I then opened the Foobar 2000 Mobile app on the iphone to copy + paste the log, and then somehow the Sync automatically started up again. This time it worked after just a few minutes.

Here is the log of the above two events:

Really at a loss for what to try next... maybe deleting TuneFusion on both ends (Desktop and iPhone) and starting from scratch again? Can you tell me how to ensure everything is wiped on the Desktop and iPhone so I can be sure I'm starting from a Clean Slate? Or what do you think?

Thanks,
Matt

Thanks for the bug report.
There seems to be an issue in TuneFUSION application causing files that have no tags to be skipped. This will be fixed in the next update.

Thank YOU for taking the bug report seriously and looking into it.

I've heeded your words and started adding tags to all files I want to sync and it's working so far, so I believe your diagnosis is spot on.

Thanks again!
