Has anyone else run into a problem where DMC fails to copy over the temp file after riping the first track? I left it running overnight and it still didnt get beyond the first track. It ran for 8hrs before I stopped it. The partiton I was writing to has 12 Gb free so it is not a space problem. The last step it was on
was "Copying temp file to ..." This happens no mater what encoder or partiton I write too. It does seem to copy the file sucessfuly because it does not leave the temp file behind and it does play, but the program never continues to encode the rest of the disk. Anyone know what is happening?

Could it be a problem with the CD you are trying to read? Have you tried ripping using the 'Test Conversion' option?

Yes, Test conversion does work, and when doing an actual rip the original 1st song comes through intact. I will try with a diffrent cd, but as I recall it didnt work with any.

What version of windows are you using? It could be that you haven't configured CD Audio Input properly if you are having problems with all CDs.

...also when I rip just 1 song off the disk, it gets to 100% done but never stops.

I think I figured it out. The ASPI is not working under Windows XP. I changed it to 2000/Nt and it works now. This is strange though because it worked fine when I first installed DMC. Also it was a fresh install of XP when I started.

Changing that setting worked once but now its doing the same thing. I cancled the rip that was working and now it is doing the same thing.
