i put a cd onto my hard drive, now i want to make another Cd, but when using the CD writer, i get the error message = The CODEC required to decompress 'd:\Book 5 Disc 1\Track04.cda' could not be opened.
.CDA files can only be converted from a CD Drive, not a hard disk. So now where do i find a codec that will solve this mess? Thank You

The .cda file is not really an audio file, if you look at the size of it - it will be only 4KB in length, where as the audio file off a CD might be 40,000 KB

You need to use 'dMC Audio CD Input' to rip from the audio cd.

I would Like to know if it is possible to burn .m4p and .m4a files to a CD using the CD writing software?

Yes, for m4p see the FAQ for dMC (in this forum) there is a link to a program to make them .m4a, once as .m4a you can install the mp4 codec to burn those files.
