When trying to rip from a CD to MP3 I get this error:
"CODEC decompression error for '\\CdRom\Track01.cda'
Not found CODEC for track01.cda".
When uninstall any software ask me if i want to delete some files not used and some of the files are required for powerAMP converter.
In other time I could do it, but now its impossible.
Perhaps its a cd device that I don't have now?
Please Help Me

Reinstall dBpowerAMP Music Converter R8
Thanks in advance--I've been having the same problem (ie CODEC decompression error unable to rip...). I DID reinstall but still have the same problem. I don't think it is my cd burner because creativem playcenter 2 will rip this track ok...

Have a look in C:\program files\illustrate\dbpoweramp\multiplayer\input
There should be a file there called cda.dll, is there?
Yes, it's there...
Any other thoughts?
Thanks

Run dMC Configuration, it should have under the 'Installed Input Codecs'
CD Input Decoder .cda
Is it there?
Yep. Thanks for continuing to try to help me. The weird thing is, after I get the above error message on track 1, the remaining tracks all rip normally. Hmm.....

Very odd, this one might be beyond my Ken... :)
Try installing the latest beta version of dMC (in the beta test section), I have added a 'Spin up time' option in CD Input, it could be your drive just needs a chance to spin up.
Ah well, it was worth a try... I installed the beta, selected a 3 second delay, and then a 6 second delay. I could clearly hear the cd spinning before the rip process began ,but same problem. Strange...

My problem is about windows dll because if I want to use other convert mp3 programs I have the same problem.
Says Invalid device driver.
I think that it's a windows file or cd configuration file
Thanks

Have a look in Support >> Audio CD Input - there are test programs there for ASPI (what is used to talk to the CD drive), you can also install an update.
