I was able to convert m4p files to mp3 by first renaming the file from m4p to m4a. Then you simply use the convert process to make it mp3 choosing whatever output quality. This process worked for me but I suggest copy 1 of the files and do a test file then play it and see if it worked properly. This way you don't ruin any original files. Good Luck all!
