If you have Nero v5, or Nero v6 you can install this codec for dBpowerAMP Music Converter to use the Nero AAC encoder. It is expected this beta will last until shotly after Christmas. Download:

Sorry forgot to add, install the normal mp4 codec from Codec Central so that tags can be written.

This is excellent and I have had no problems for encoding and tagging.

Did you ever progress with a similar codec for Quick Time at all? I have not had much luck with Qutibacoas with the generic CLI encoder.

I will have a look at it once more when I get a chance.

Hi. Thanx
I use Nero 6 Ulta, but the plugin for dbpoweramp that u provided is limited for 50 times encoding and 30 day only. But If I use it from Nero Sound Editor, it is not limited. Is there any way to make this plugin works without limit?

Thanx

Basically either Nero 6, or Nero 5 have to be purchased.

Someone was kind enough to give me a script for QT, I will test it next week and release it.

Not sure if any one has got a third party tool to work with Itunes yet. I thought I read on hydrogen Audio that this couldn't be done.

It would be good if you could use Quick Time's codec with dbpoweramp music converter as it has higher quality settings than Itunes (Best rather than better).

Edit: Sorry razgo I just followed the link on your post. I thought you were talking about Itunes. Quick Time Alternative is just an alternative player as far as I can see.

Works like a charm. Thanks Spoon and SuperBart and another reason why there should be a paypal contribution button on the site!

Razgo: Quicktime Alternative is basically a package containing the quicktime audio and video codec dlls. It allows you to watch/listen to quicktime stuff in any directshow compatible player, such as the very good included media player classic or windows media player.

The QT encoder works fine as long you have the Quicktime registered, but the only thing is missing is the decoder for the new Apple Lossless codec. Can you release a codec for that.

If you set it to encode to lossless then encoding a mp4 using quicktime (through dMC) works?

Hi, this might be a bit of a noob question but codecs aren't really my thing. What's the best way to jsut take an AVI or WMV file and convert it into an MP4 video file?

dBpowerAMP Music Converter does not deal with video files. For information on this topic, please check out this thread:
