Can I ask if I purchase perfect tunes. Will the artwork it finds be of better quality than the standard DBPoweramp? The reason for asking is that I am finding the artwork typically found in ripping a CD using BDPoweramp (normally 600 x 600 and between 100 and 300KB) looks rubbish when viewing on my ipad (via Linn's Kazoo app) I wondered how to improve things.

I believe it is exactly the same database. I typically get 1000x1000 on dbpa ripper or perfecttunes and it looks very good on my ipad air2 retina screen. However, in dbpa I sometimes do NOT want the artwork it automatically chooses. So before ripping, I click the "get artwork" button next to the artwork and dbpa takes me to a screen where it loads up all the possible artwork. I can typically choose the high quality artwork I want from there.

Thanks. I have tried clicking on the 1000x1000 artwork as well but most of the time DBPA will not actually select it. It goes back to default. Any ideas why?

How is your dBpa configured? What is your max. pixel size and what is your max file size for album arts?

good point. these are in your settings and options. If these are set to 600x600, no matter what you pick will convert to 600x600 for example.

I didn't know you can change that setting so its probably that. Have a quick look at cannot see. When you say settings its that the Meta tag icon?

in ripper screen, at top click on OPTIONS, then on popup screen under metadata, click on options next to metadata and ID tag. Top of next screen is the options on album artwork.
