Hi there!

powerAmp is doing fine, but recently the .ogg-codec (converting ogg to mp3) is acting strange - output file is ok, but conversion does not recognize the end of the source file, resulting in a runtime error.
It says it's at somewhere about 60-80% done, while the output file ist already almost done, and then - bang.
Doesn't happen while reading wma, and also was ok in the beginning. Codec update didn't help either.

Could it be something about the .ogg-files I'm processing?

TIA

Try switching off the Preserve tags option, does that help?

Tx Spoon,
yeah, it stops runtime errors.
But keeping the tags is a feature I'd really like to keep. And it worked before.
BTW Conversions with runtime errors contain working files incl. tags. The trouble with these files start when they don't really count down the remaining conversion time. Does that give you an idea about what's wrong? Need some more infos?

TIA

Try converting to Monkeys, then to Mp3.

Try converting to Monkeys, then to Mp3.

Will do. But can you give me an idea (just for my understanding) what's happening?

A problem when the tags go across, as Monkeys is a different format it might work.

Do all ogg files have this problem?

Not to Monkey as it is lossless, but to mp3 yes, but it depends what you need the mp3 for.
