I am using PerfectTUNES 1.6. I just opened up the PT Control Center and clicked the "Check for update" button. The program just sat there for about 30 seconds, then shut down. NAV then gave me a SONAR warning that it detected suspicious activity with perfecttunes.exe and sent it to quarantine. I performed a restore in NAV to get the program back.

I have the latest version of NAV installed for my Windows 7 desktop (21.2.0.38), and I have it set to update virus definitions automatically.

Was PT trying to update itself and NAV saw this as suspicious, or is this something else entirely?

I had something similar happen to me with Symantec End Point. PT and AR were quarantined with the following flag:
SONAR.Heuristic.120 (http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2014-011016-0119-99)

I had a look in "View Quarantine" saw PerfectTunes and clicked on "Restore" and I was back to full operation.

Report the file to Norton, so they can white list it.
