I get

Error converting to Windows Media Audio 10, 'G:\Tango de me Vida - 200 Tangos en mp3 - Volumen 5\009-De Caro-La rayuela.mp3' to 'S:\TLIB importing\!4 to import\Tango De Mi Vida MP3\Tango de me Vida - 200 Tangos en mp3 - Volumen 5\009-De Caro-La rayuela.wma'
Error decoding mp3 data stream, is corrupt?

and (alarmingly) the output WMA file is created with six seconds of audio missing from the end: 196

Other programs e.g. MediaMonkey (but, FTR, gives differing audio e.g. see this shift 195) doe not show this failure on this mp3 file.

dBpa does not show this failure on other mp3 files from the same source.

Any ideas?

If it says the file is corrupted, it likely is, other programs will often silently skip the errors.

Thanks. Can you suggest a reference program that will confirm this?

You could try also the foobar 2000 converter.

It does not show the failure i.e. it converts the file fine - no error, no truncation.

Same with GoldWave, JR Media Center, VLC Media Player. dbPoweramp is the only program I can find that fails.

Plus I notice at the dbPoweramp cut-off point in the original file, there is no visible 200 or audible sign of any error in the waveform.

It really looks to me as if dBpoweramp is faulty in this case.
