Hi,
I bought two ALAC albums in highresaudio.com and i use Batch Converter to convert my library to Aiff. No problem with other sites like Hdtracks, Linn, Qobuz etc... But these albums from highresaudio.com give me the following error message: Error converting to Aiff - File error reading chunk [dMP4Handler::ScanFile]

I tried XLD and it converted without problems but when i use the dBpoweramp CRC checker plugin the ALAC diverges from the aiff converted by XLD.

I'm using release 14.4 and Dsp release 9. My main os is OSX Mavericks and i'm running dBpoweramp inside parallels.(after ripping more than 1000 cds in itunes i discovered that more 10% had ripping errors. That's why i'm using dBpoweramp now re-ripping everything to aiff.

Thanks in advance.

Such an error can mean the chunk is cut short (ie you only have part of the file), many other programs do not report the errors, which is incorrect, because you want to know when there is an error.

It does this for all the files?

On this album only the first track is ripped and the rest gives this error. If you want i can send you trough Dropbox the link for this tracks to analyze.

I checked the Stream Size of the file with Media Info app and it's 98% for the first track. That should be 100% no?

It should be 100% yes

I contacted highresaudio.com. Let's wait.
