Hi folk, I have a Problem with a Primera Disc Publisher Pro. I installed everything, drivers, original Primera software (PTPublisher - btw it is working with the Robot), dBpoweramp Reference, Batch Ripper R1.5 and Primera Batch Ripper Driver R3.0.2. But if I start the "Test" in "dBpoweramp Batch Ripper: Configuration" I always get the following error:

Unable to locate Primera robot containing drive 'M', please check connection.

**********************************************
Beginning Test

Running Program: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Illustrate\dBpoweramp\BatchRipper\Loaders\Pr imera\Load\Load.exe" --stoponmultidiscsloaded="yes" --drive="M" --logfile="C:\Users\anzo\AppData\Local\Temp\dBBB90A.tmp" --passerrorsback="C:\Users\anzo\AppData\Local\Temp\dBBB90B.tmp"
Running...
Primera Looking For Drive:M
Primera PTRobot_Initialize: EnumRobots: EnumDrives Robot *0: *** Error: Unable to locate Primera robot containing drive 'M', please check connection.
PTRobot_Destroy: Destroyed

Testing Complete

- it is not the wrong drive - Primera drives are M and N
- BatchRipper is running under Admin rights
- the Robot is working with the original Primera Software

Does anyone know what is the exact problem? Or what do I have to do to get Batch Ripper working?

Thanks for your help!

Does drive N work?

Unfortunately "No". Both drives have the same Problem.

Unable to locate Primera robot containing drive 'M', please check connection.

Unable to locate Primera robot containing drive 'N', please check connection.

Normally the driver would indicate which drives it can find, such as:

"PTRobot_Initialize: EnumRobots: EnumDrives Robot *0: Got Drive 'E' Got Drive 'I'"

How old is the device?

I can not say how old it is but i guess something around 6 years (2007).

I am sorry I do not know what else you can do.

I am sorry I do not know what else you can do.

I had this problem after a re-install of XP - after much thrashing I found this in the PrimoDVD help file

"Make sure that your Bravo print driver is installed. You should see a Disc Publisher or a Disc Publisher II in your Printers folder. (Control Panel - Printers) If it is not installed, follow the instructions in your users manual to install the driver. If you do not have your installation CD or if driver is not automatically installing, please download the driver from the Tech Support - Printer Driver section of our website."

I downloaded the printer drivers from primera and hey presto!

For some reason they had not auto installed ...

I have the same problem, I can run the PTPublihser application which has a robot calibration utility, works just fine. Launch this ripping application, thinks no robot.

It says:

Primera PTRobot_Initialize: EnumRobots: EnumDrives Robot *0: *** Error: Unable to locate Primera robot containing drive X

When you run the test in batch ripper?

I had used PTPublisher to confirm the robot is working. Your application seems to need a COM port but the unit only has the USB connection. My cmputer has a harware COM1 and then a COM3 in the Ports listing. I tried both COM1 and COM3, no help. How is the driver going to identify the USB connection?

If you have the Primera driver it is usb only, see on the batch ripper page (top driver).

Is this the only level of support? Your ripping product seems to resolve a problem others have in that I can enter my own META data for CD Sets. The CDDB will not have all my CDs listed so can't use the PTRip app that is with PTPublisher, the vendors' application that works the robut just as expected.
I had expected the directory struction you created, C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp\BatchRipper\Loaders\Pr imera\Load to be able to simply run the "load.exe" program and have it load up a CD onto a tray, well, no this is not the way it works, but should it have?
I purchased your product for its ability to manually enter META data, confirmed that was going to work as I needed it to then purchased a used Disc Duplicator Pro robot because it was said to be supported by your application. Lot of time and money invested, need to continue forward.

Just how is the robot communicated with, will the batch prgram simply launch the programs:
C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp\BatchRipper\Loaders\Pr imera\Load Load.exe with the "DefaultCmdLine.txt"?
Can each of the Load, pre-batch, reject and unload apps be run from the command line in order to confirm their operation independent of the ripper application?

Spoon

Yes they can, but it will not help you, as the test program runs them in that way, you can see the command line passed to this programs.

I went on the site for PTPublisher, downloaded their development files and looked at:

10/28/2011 12:53 PM 3,473,408 PTRobot.dll
10/28/2011 01:24 PM 1,640,448 PTRobot4100.dll
11/04/2013 03:30 PM 1,574,400 PTRobotApp.exe
10/28/2011 01:16 PM 1,625,600 PTRobotDP.dll
10/28/2011 01:16 PM 1,636,864 PTRobotDPPRO.dll
10/28/2011 01:16 PM 1,631,744 PTRobotDPse.dll
11/04/2013 03:30 PM 390,656 PTRobotStr.dll

The PTRobotApp runs the robot just fine moves the disks in any way I select. It seems you are using the same DLLs at least by their name, sizes are different. Just another confirmation that the communcations between my computer and the robot are just fine, and getting closer to that you had done in interfacing your app with the robot.

You talk of the "Test" program and I assume you are talking ot the Loader Configuration app. There are 5 actions, Load CLI, Unload LCI, Reject CLI Pre-Batch CLI and Post-Batch CLI When I selected the "Loading Method Primera" there is only one line populated Load CLI with [--stoponumultidiscsloaded="yes"] with a comment under it "If 2 Disks are picked, will wait for the user to click ok"
Question: Shouldn't there be something in each of the five options to test?

Try replacing our dlls with the newer ones you have downloaded.

Yes, that is what I had done, and yes it now works. So now with a small script I completed in AutoIt I can fill in the MetaData with my own information from a small text file, rather then looking it up. I can now begin the process of archiving my book collection
