View Full Version : keeping some of the original path & steamline tag from filename

Hi,
First off I have been really enjoying the program. It is absolutely the best way to rip my cd's fast using AccurateRip (it is nice knowing the files are perfect).
I currently rip to .wav files
I save in this directory (and batch convert from there):
C:\Jamie\Music\artist\album\filename.wav

I have the output directory set as c:\Jamie\m4a
with dynamic naming to [origpath]\[origfilename]

The only problem is the files are now saved
c:\jamie\music\m4a\jamie\music\artist\album\filena me.wav

Is there a way to put them under m4a, but eliminate the jamie\music folders?

I have been manually moving the files back to the m4a directory.

Also, to tag I have been doing this:

I have been using the dsp folder.jpg preserve to copy my cover.jpg into the new directory when doing the initial conversion.

I then have to go convert again to use the [tag from filename] codec to add a tag to the m4a files.
I then have to go convert again and use the [ID tag update] codec to add the cover.jpg to the tag name.

Is there a way I go streamline this and do it in one conversion? Is there somehow a way to add this to the dsp effects instead of doing it through the codec?

Thank You!

Thank you for the quick response. I got an error when I converted, but seems to work like this(i think i needed to add back in [origfilename]

[TRIMFIRSTFOLDER][TRIMFIRSTFOLDER][origpath]\[origfilename][][]

For my future reference
What does the [][] do?

Also,
Is there a way I can streamline tagging these files?

Thanks!

Just noticed,
When I convert to mp3 (lame), I am able to add the cover.jpg directly into the tag when doing the initial conversion.
Are the options different for mp3 than m4a?

Is it possible in the future to add album art & tag from filename in 1 step?

Thanks.

Use the ID Tag Processing DSP effect, there is an import option for art.

It works for the mp3, just not for the m4a for some reason.

Any chance of adding the ID tag processing dsp for tag from filename? That what make it easier than having to do 2 steps.

Thanks
