Ripnas S1000 assign static ip address

I am new to the forum and to RipNas.

Can anyone explain to me how to get the Ripnas on a static IP address using Mac OS.
Question must have come by a thousand times, but I just cannot find the answer.

Normally you can set your router to give out a certain address for a given network MAC

So in the router I just assign the IP address and the RipNas will use the correct subnet and gateway and so on?
