In my dBpoweramp Registration Retrieval , it was possible to upgrade my ref to family pack. I did and paid 24 dollar. I think i maid a mistake because this is a version i already had, or am i mistaken?

If there was an offer to upgrade to family pack, then you existing version would not have been the family pack, rather a single Reference license.
