R13 BC "There is no disc in the drive" error

Every launch of Batch Converter on this Win XP Pro SP2 machine gives a (non-fatal) error:

There is no disc in the drive error. Please interset a disc into drive A:.

Only annoying, but still... anyone know a workaround?

And any chance of a fix?
