Other than Ripstation, I've not come across any other pieces of hardware to take on the challenge of close to 5,000 CDs i need to rip.

Is anyone aware of another high capacity option?

Primera offer high capacity models (2 drives per unit, 2 units per pc).

Primera offer high capacity models (2 drives per unit, 2 units per pc).

Just spoke to them. Their units are for the opposite direction: publishing to disk. They say you can't use them to rip back to a computer.

They can be used fine for ripping CDs, look at the Bravo 4102 model with 2 drives. (Ripping CDs is very niche, there are only perhaps 20 commercial ripping stations in the whole world, most of those 20 use Batch Ripper).

Try Acronova Nimbie. Buy trough Amazon below $500. I'm plowing through 1500 CD's myself.

I just finished ripping 2000 cd's with a Primera Bravo II and Batch Ripper. For my purposes the combination worked splendidly. The Bravo II only has a native batch capacity of 25 cd's that can be doubled to 50, but that didn't seem to cause a problem. In fact it broke the work into manageable segments. There is a lot more to this task than the glossy Madison Ave brochure suggests. The entire project took about 6 weeks.

Interesting that Primera now disavows knowledge of its products capabilities. Less than a year ago they were renting units for the sole purpose of ripping CD collections. They did stop offering this service so I guess they decided that it was not in line with their Mission Statement.
