Hello,

Just built a brand new WHS and I really on a quest to centralize all of our music. I have been studying Asset UPnPy for a while - and we use J.River Media center as the standard "client" for playback around the house.

Can JRMC be used effectively to access and playback the Asset library from WHS?

Appreciate any updates.

Cheers!

I do not know is J River is UPnP compatible?

Well - it appears there is boatload of stuff here...

http://wiki.jrmediacenter.com/index.php/UPnP_Server

But it all looks to me like JRMC is more geared to being a bridge to "talk" and stream to these devices - but maybe not the other way around.... Does Asset make the WHS act as a UPnP "device"?

Cheers!

It needs to be a UPnP Renderer, as Asset is the Server.
