A friend of mine was given a collection music a friend of his composed before he died.
They are ".max" files.
Does any one know what can decode or play these?
They are pretty small many only 1-2K. Some up to 20meg.
It may be some sort of MIDI format but I cannot find any association.
The only thing is 3D Studio Max but I don't see how that would play music.
