It is possible to encode wave files to WMA7 and WMA8 format (i need this for decoder tests) on a Windows XP System ? ? ? I have installed the codec for wma 7 and 8 but the encoder only creates WMA9 files..I have emulated a win2000 system on my pc and it only creates wma9 files too..
please help

If you install the system codecs for a later wma they stick on the system, even using earlier encoders will use the latest.
