I have my entire music library organized into separate artist folders then seperate subfolders for each album. Within each folder I have a folder.jgp file along with the corresponding MP3 files. Most of these files (75%) are already tagged in some fashion... very few are not tagged.

I read somewhere that MP3Tag is capable of going through and finding the folder.jpg files and automatically embedding it into every MP3 within the folder. Finally, I want to embed all my mp3 with the corresponding folder.jpg.

Question 1:
Can I use DMC to embed my MP3 files ? If Yes, How to process by steps for each mp3 file please

Question 2:
Is this operation will increase each file ?

Thanks

1 Yes, use the [ID Tag Update] utility codec and check 'import folder.jpg'

2 Yes, by exactly the size of each folder.jpg

Thank You for the reply,
To make a mp3 file embedded, do I have to use Convert to or other function ?
Does the mp3 embedded should show the jpg image when stored in other new folder and played in WMP ???
Thank

Yes. Do note that if you have your views in Windows set to "Thumbnails", it will put the folder.jpg on the folder icon.

There is an FAQ section in this forum, but there isn't one comprehensive FAQ really.

Say can you do the opposite? Have db go through your folders and extract from 1 file in each folder and create a folder.jpg if it doesn't already exist? Probably asking too much I know. I have almost all my albums embedded but didn't think to save all the images in the folder also. Some programs like that more than embedded so it's nice to have both.

In other words, you want to extract embedded jpg image from mp3 with the same program. Right ?? I'm interessed to follow this thread.....

Yes and extract not remove, so that I end up with embedded still plus a folder.jpg in each folder. Just one not one for each song of course. Mp3tag I'm only smart enough to do it album by ablum.

Yes ! I understand. In my previous post, I asked if I can deleted the jpg folders after having embedded them, because I have a melting pot of various tunes by various artists in the same folder. In this case, none jpg folder is necesary....

You can specify the filename to import from and export to, eddynat. :)

And the same method you use to import you can use to export, which will leave your album art embedded.
