Hi,

I bought dBpa R12 over the weekend and so far I am more than impressed with the product, not to mention the support in these forums.

Last night I was ripping a badly scratched CD by Dan Reed Network which showed up in the AccurateRip database. Unfortunately track number 3 did not rip properly and was labelled "Inaccurate" and "Insecure". Tried several times to re-rip but to no avail.

I decided to try EAC and although it too reported inaccurate rip it did not detect any errors.

So, I decided once more to try dBpa and this time it did rip the track as accurate (according to the AccurateRip database - confidence 14) but the CRC value was in red.

My question is - what does this mean and is the track now securely ripped?

Many thanks for any advice!

The CRC is red because the new, accurate rip does not match the old inaccurate rip.

Ok, thanks EliC - as long as I know (going forward) that these rips are indeed secure.

If accuraterip says it is accurate, it is.
