I'm running r12.2 on a Win XP Home SP2, 2.6 GHz Celeron, 512 MB RAM, with ZoneAlarm Security Suite. If I temporarily block all Internet activity and anti-virus updates (an option provided by ZoneAlarm) is it safe to run a batch-conversion of about 80 GB of WAV files to FLAC all in one go (for example, overnight) with the DSP option of deleting destination files if there are errors? In other words, all other variables constant, if I do the 80-GB conversion in one session are the chances of errors in destination files greater than if do the conversion in, for example, four 20-GB sessions, or eight 10-GB sessions? Or does it not matter whether or not I break up the mass to be converted into sessions of small chunks?
