Real audio file conversion

I am new at this. I have some real audio files that I can not burn to CD or place on a mp3 device. I have downloaded the dbpoweramp and the real alternative. I have also downloaded the Direct Show Filter. I am getting this error when I attempt to convert the real file to wav or mp3:
Direct show filter for .ram is not installed or corrupt.

Please help?

Are these encrypted/protected real audio files? Where/how did you obtain them?

What software did you attempt to burn them to CD with?

Can you post your dMC/dBpowerAMP configuration settings here so that we can check that the DirectShow filter is installed properly?

Can you play these files in the Real Alternative installed "Media Player Classic"? Can you play these files in Windows Media Player?
