hello people out there in dbpoweramp land!

i recently downloaded the cd-writer beta 2 in hopes of replacing my current nero burner.

i'm running:

windows 98 se
dmc r 10 beta 2
powerpack 3 (trial)

yea. when i start burning, the buffer status is at empty, then goes all the way to high, and then all the way to empty, and then i get a popup saying:

CD Drive Error 'Invalid command field'
Audio disk has not been written

screen shot (and died  ) here:
http://www.geocities.com/jasonrassi0/dbpoweramp.jpg

all this happens within 45 seconds.
i've tried with different sets of files and between diff types of cds (74 & 80 minute) and in the process ruined 5 valuable cd-r's (costing me a total of fifty precious cents!) :vmad: ;)

i also tried running it with nothing else in the background to see if it was the buffer underun that caused it (pretty sure my burner has buffer underun protection, not positive cuz its my brothers burner)

well if n e 1 could help me with my problem i'd greatly appreciate it.

I would say it is as soon as the drive starts writing something. Is it an older Sony? it could be that that model is not supported.

i think it was released around 1999,

hmm...still having the same problem.

do you know if the Sony CRX140E is supported by the cd writer beta? that model was relatively popular around the time i got it...
