Installed DMCr12 with Musepack 1.16 and am trying to convert 44.1Khz 24bit WAV files into MPC, but get the following error :

Error writing audiodata to StdIn Pipe [clEncoder::EncodeBlock]

Could someone confirm that the problem is that the Muspack encoder does not support 24 bit? Would the musepack codec also have a problem with 96KHz sources files?

Many thanks

Try converting your WAV to a 44.1KHz 16-bit WAV and then see if it works. If it does, then MPC doesn't like 24-bit files, or at least your 24-bit file.

I have the same problem. dMC and all codecs are installed in the same (default) location, all files I'm trying to convert are 44.1KHz 16-bit WAV just grabbed from CD-DA (with EAC). Almost every resulting file have size 0 bytes, and in log there are records "Error writing audiodata to StdIn Pipe [clEncoder::EncodeBlock]". But some(very rare)time conversion works. It happens in full random, so it isn't source files problem.

Which windows version?
WinXP SP2 with no further updates installed. I've forgot to specify versions of dmc and plugins I use - all latest (but not betas).

Do you have any security set on the system, or security programs which are stopping the STDIO with mpc?

Sorry, but I don't understand you :( Can you explain what do you mean?

I know if you had a fresh Win XP system with latest updates then you would not have any problems, so there mush be a program or setting changed in Windows XP which is stopping this functionality.

Hmm.. I'll try, but it's really strange - sometimes everything is OK, but very seldom. I mean that in batch of 20 files can be 1 or 2 converted normally, and can be none.
