Help!

I used to have no problems CD's with my Plextor 121032A on Win XP until today. I haven't used the Audio ripper for several weeks.

My problem is that when I open the program, it can't see any of my drives. When I switch to something other than aspi it does. But I've always used to have it set on aspi and mmc.

I've already tried reinstalling dbpoweramp and my registered powerpack but it still doesn't work.

Do I need to reinstall aspi? Where do I get it and how do I install it on Win XP?

Thanks for the help.

ASPI is 3rd party software on XP, Microsoft does not supply it. You are best using the other Communication methods for XP.

I'm running Win XP and have problems with ASPI as well. I already installed Adaptec's ASPI thingy but when I run ASPI check, it says that there are ASPI components still missing. What does this mean and how do I fix it? Or, will the 2000/NT communications thingy in dbpowerAmp work on my XP? Thanks so much.

The 2000/NT Built in is the one to go with.

I've since switched the setting from ASPI to "2000/NT "
I forget which one I use - Device IO or Built-In (Limited).

I 'm not sure if this is the best, but it works for me so that's what I use.
