How can i convert mp3 to AAC with dbpoweramp?
Do i have t install codecs or what?
I want to convert mp3 to aac so i can upload my songs to my mobile phone T-T.

Thank you in advance :o

-* is doing research =X*-

Ok here is my problem with more details:

I got a mp3 file on my computer
Details about the file here:
http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/4579/filedetailspr5.th.png (http://img224.imageshack.us/my.php?image=filedetailspr5.png)
Clickable.

I installed dBPwerap 11.5
I installed the follow codecs:

- m4a, mp4, aac & Apple Lossless (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codecs/dBpowerAMP-codec-mp4.exe)

And AAC to mp4 & mp4 to AAC (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codecs/dBpowerAMP-codec-aactomp4.exe)

And i also did This (C:\Program Files\dBpowerAMP\Help\Codec\mp4\help.htm) (Link works only when Nero Digital Audio (AAC) is installated) (C:\Program Files\dBpowerAMP\Help\Codec\mp4\help.htm)

So everything is good right?
So give it a try.

Rightclick on mp3 file.Select convert to.
Convert settings here: (clickable)

Moved to dMC Support.

You must install the mp4/m4a codec and download the encoder files from Nero (link in help file).

well i would go for 190K bitrate........anyhow AAC files are much beter the any mp3 file when the bitrates are similar...one can find a lot of diff between ACC and mp3....

They’ll talk down to you and treat you like you can’t even complete the simplest task on your own. Fortunately, Jacob was the exact opposite. He was willing to give you a chance, an opportunity to price yourself so you could leave the entry level positions quickly. There are a lot of mangers who should take a page from the book of Solon magrizos, I’m sure his workers and fives times as loyal and hardworking as most.

Hello Guys,

I am having trouble converting mp3 files to AAC. I want to use them on my mobile music player (mine supports aac which is efficient in terms of size and quality as compared to mp3). I have all the necessary codecs installed like Nero Digital Audio. I have used the "locate Encoder" button and the codecs are located properly.
The dMC Configuration contains Nero Digital Audio (AAC) installed under "Installed Encoders" tab.

Problem is that dBpowerAMP displays the conversion window and finishes the conversion, but I cannot find the converted file in the selected (assigned) directory. Sometimes it does show me the file (which has a .m4a extension), but the filesize is 0KB.

The original mp3 file bit rate is 128 kbps at 44100 hz.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks.
