I've read all the posts on audible files and I'm still stuck. I was able to convert audible a few months ago. I'm using dbpoweramp v12.001. I've added .aa to the direct show text file but the converter still doesn't recognize .aa files and I don't see this codec listed anywhere except on the text file.
Is the problem the version of dbpoweramp I'm using?
I love the changes in version 12. Everything else has worked great.

dMC r12 doesn't support the Direct Show decoder yet, so it cannot decode .aa files or anything else that depends on this codec. Remember, dMC r12 has totally new codecs for it. You will have to drop back to dMC r11.5 to decode .aa files or just wait.

Hard choice but I guess I'll wait. I've been using this software for years- back when it was free. Version 12 is the best converting software I've seen. I don't think I can give it up. But I hope an .aa codec comes along soon.
