MP3 Lame - How tell bit rate?

I am doing MP3 Lame alt-std-preset. How do I tell what bit rate I am using. I see the slider bar that tells me "Higher vs Lowe quality" but can I actually see the numbers or set the numbers?

Re: MP3 Lame - How tell bit rate?

The numbers will run from 32 kbs to 320 kbs.
The program will not display numbers for the alt-preset settings. For information on these values you can check here:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1912

You can make your own setting but selecting the "No Presets" option.
Please note that if you create a variable bit rate or average bit rate setting you will use the left mouse buton to select the lower range of your setting, the right mouse button to select the upper range. While you can move the slider(s) if you have a preset selected, you might end up messing up your preset settings.
Best wishes,
