Wrong Album count and missing album tracks

Hi , I have Asset premium running on an iMac with OS X 10.9.5.
My music is all in Apple Aiff format on an external drive configured by Artist/ Album / track.
When I run Asset it finds all the tracks but finds far more albums than there should be.
It finds 827 albums instead of about 500.
When I then view these albums using Naim N- stream there are tracks missing . e.g. DSOTM shows only the first 4 tracks.
I am streaming to a Naim Uniti 2.
When I use Playback it all works fine ..
I have checked the metadata with Metadatics and it all looks ok , e.g. on DSOTM the metadata seems the same for each track.

I have tried deleting and then re downloading Asset with the same result. but I'm not sure that deleting it removes everything as the configuration
screen doesn't change to the default one on reloading.?
    Any thoughts ?
    Thanks Phil

It is likely these albums have wrong ID Tags, which are causing the albums to split (into 2 albums).

You can also browse with Advanced Search >> File and Folder Browsing

which does not use the ID tags.

      Thanks for the reply.
Assuming I have done this correctly ( select Advanced Search>> File and Folder browsing in the configuration screen and then refresh)
it is still the same unfortunately.
I can't see any problems the metadata, any idea what I should be looking for?
      Thanks Phil.

I mean when browsing for music, select Advanced Search >> File and Folder, not in the configuration program.

Ok thanks, I get it now! This works fine, i.e. I can see all the tracks in this mode. Still can't see any differences in the tagging of the individual tracks so I don't know how to correct the album count or track listings.
I'd like to do another completely fresh instal of asset and start from scratch but when I just move Asset to the trash does it remove everything or are there some files that need removing manually?
          Thanks Phil

I am not certain the settings will reset.
