    Problems with Batch Ripper

    Hi,

I set up Batch Ripper with autorip to have my server PC work as a ripping machine. It worked fine for several weeks, but since a couple of days ago the Batch Ripper has become temperamental, as is often in a state of Post-load Waiting for CD.

A few CDs it can still rip, but even some that dBpoweramp rips easily will put it in that state.

Is there something I could do about it?

    Thanks in advance.

Look in Windows explorer at the CD drive, it should say it is an audio CD and display a track listing as

    Track01
    Track02

    etc

Just MSE, but that has been true during the entire life of this machine.

If whilst it is waiting for CD, yet there is one inserted, if you run CD Ripper, does it show a track listing?

Check also you not have any virtual cd software, any other anti malware programs (MSE is fine), no programs in the tray which might interact with CDs.

The regular ripper works perfectly despite that message in the Batch ripper.

I don't think it's the case - only thing that could be vaguely related is the Intel Storage perfomance thing, but I don't think it does anything to the CD Drive. It's also been there since the beginning of this build.

I'm sure this will make me look stupid, but how can I tell?

    Re: Problems with Batch Ripper

Just installed R2. Initial results were encouraging, as it started ripping the CD, but it won't end the process - it stays there "ripping" the last track forever. This is something I experienced a couple of times with R1.5 as well.
