Rip One and Edit Another Simultaneously?

    Dear Spoon,

I have multiple CD-ROM Drives. Is there a simple way to edit the tags on one CD while ripping a different CD/ Editing tags on classical music is a very time-consuming task. I could save a whole lot of time iif I could rip one CD while editing a second one.

    Thanks much,
    Tom

      Spoon,

I am sorry to be thick. Do you mean to purchase and install two separate batch rippers with their outputs pointed to the storage folder? In other words, do you mean to install a different batch ripper for each DD-ROM drive so as to keep everything parallel, but independent?

      Thank you again,
      Tom

Not batch ripper, just start CD ripper twice, no need to install twice run the program 2 times.

O.K., Spoon, I now have two Plextor drives installed, namely "X" and "Y". I have purchased two new Toshiba/Samsung drives which I plan to install tomorrow or the next day.

\If I place a CD in "X" and in "Y", and I upgrade the tags of the CD in "X", do I begin to rip this CD and then point the CD ripper to "Y" and upgrade the tags on the CD in "Y"?

Do I begin ripping the CD in "Y" or must I wait until the CD in "X" has finisged ripping?

Is there a simple tutorial available that discusses using multiple drives?

Thank you again Spoon. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

          Best regards,
          Tom

You point one CD ripper to one drive and the other to the other drive, then you can use independently (ripping and editing as you wish).
