    AccurateRip groups

Once a CD is ripped, you get AccurateRip results in groups, some of the with lower scores, some of them higher. It seems like the same CD is being read differently. Correct?
    - If so, why should we think that groups with higher count are better than groups with lower ones?

If by groups you mean different pressing results, then higher scores do not mean are better, a single match with confidence of 1 is all that is needed if you did not submit the result yourself.

Does "pressing results" stands for MusicBrainz's "release" concept? Same disc, printed in various releases?

    Re: AccurateRip groups

    For example:
    Code:
AccurateRip: Accurate (confidence 34) [Pass 1]
      CRC32: 43A2E317 AccurateRip CRC: 4E117343 (CRCv2) [DiscID: 012-00148510-00be8641-b10a920c-1]
      AccurateRip Verified Confidence 34 [CRCv2 4e117343]
      AccurateRip Verified Confidence 190 [CRCv1 5eb7c9b1]
AccurateRip Verified Confidence 3 [CRCv2 2a12a7c7], Using Pressing Offset -659
AccurateRip Verified Confidence 27 [CRCv1 4806dbaf], Using Pressing Offset -659
    34 rips have CRC (v2) 4E117343 ?
    190 rips have CRCv1 5eb7c9b1 (not equal to CRC32: 43A2E317) - Huh?

Please explain what this means or if you can point a link to an explanation! Thanks

No it is manufacturing batches, the numbers on the disc are normally identical.

CRC32 is different to AccurateRips CRC (different calculation method).

    Re: AccurateRip groups

So, in the example above, what does "190 rips have CRCv1 5eb7c9b1" means? My rip is matched ALSO to 190 rips? With CRCv1? If so why it is summarized to 34? Because of CRCv2 (more reliable?) ?

    Re: AccurateRip groups

They are all different results, your rip matched all. CRCv1 was around first, later versions of dBpoweramp have CRCv2, so on older discs there will be more CRCv1 results than CRCv2.
