Thread: Windows 8 conversion issue

    Windows 8 conversion issue

Hello, ever since upgrading my Win7 box to the Win8 RTM, foobar2000 likes to baulk on certain FLAC > ALAC conversions, usually those near the end of small batches (albums), with the error:

Unsupported format or corrupted file (duplicate moov box)

I then have to re-encode the files, usually one or two at a time, to prevent this error from occurring. The files are dropped into iTunes' "Add Automatically to iTunes" folder and moved into their right place by iTunes. foobar2000 is on my HTPC pulling the file info from the shared iTunes library (Windows share). Never been an issue up until this point.

A guess that Microsort are updating the id tags for the alac files, keep a eye on the last write time of the files.

Did you do the dbpoweramp conversion on win8, or on the previous win7?
