Audio CDs have programmed gaps between tracks, these can be seen in Roxio Easy CD Creator in the Information screen if display of track gaps is enabled. What happens to these gaps when RipNAS rips a CD? Are they added as silence to the beginning of the next track (they're a pre-track gap) or are they dropped?
I assume they're added to the next track because otherwise the ripped album would not play back exactly as it was on CD. But I have been unable to find any mention of this in the various postings, manuals or DSP effects which is why I am asking.
