    [CUE Sheet Image] Utility Codec

Cue sheet image creator, a few requirements of this codec:

Only works when ripping audio CDs,
All tracks of the CD have to be ripped at the same time,

Note: Audio is compressed to final format after the last track is ripped.

    Download:

    http://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/dBpow...etImage%5D.exe

    Yet to implement:

    Embedding CUE in FLAC files
    Ripping to Cue + multi-files

    Update

Works with the latest (as of today) R14 CD Ripper giving gap and index detection, install the latest R14 Music Converter also.

Re: [CUE Sheet Image] Utility Codec

Any plans to add the ability to split out an album ripped as a single file into separate tracks via this or another utility codec? This ability would seem consistent with dBpoweramp's value to be able to rip a disc and never need to rip it again, and staying with a track focus. I am currently frustrated by the decision upon ripping to rip to a single file or track files and forever regret it or the need to re-rip if I change my mind, or the need to use other non-dBpoweramp tools like CUETools that are very tough to learn. And I cannot rip to both a single file and track files - maintaining tags for these is too much, and the hit on disc space is huge. I'm trying to reduce, not increase, the number of tools I use, and I'd love it if this ability was in your space. Thanks for thinking about this.

Re: [CUE Sheet Image] Utility Codec

When selecting a subset of tracks from the CD, the resulting image will contain only those selected tracks, but the CUE-file still contains all tracks.

    This gives errors at playback.

Can this be changed such that the cue file also only contains the selected tracks?

    Thank you

Cue Sheets have to be the full disc, it cannot miss a track out.

Is there a specific reason it has to be a full disc for you?

The way a cue-sheet is formatted easily allows you to just take a few tracks and not necessarily all.

Is it due to the calculation of indexes for a subset of tracks?

Just trying to learn more about the why of it

Can I ask if this is what will allow tracks that are really continuous like Dark Side of the Moon to play without a short gap between them?

You need a gapless player, even normal rips to single files (lossless) will play gapless on a gapless player.

Question Re: [CUE Sheet Image] Utility Codec

I've installed this codec (Using R14 Ref) and I'm trying to rip a CD using "Rip as 1" in the CD ripper but I don't see the Cue Sheet Codec showing up in the DSP list to select it. Should it show up in the DSP list? And does this Codec create a seperate CUE sheet file or embed it within the large file it rips? Thanks in advance.
