To add to the above, and to provide a response that more directly addresses the original question:
dBpoweramp CD Writer does not have a preference for any one kind of CD disc over another, but...
Most standard CD players nowadays will play most computer CD discs, but not CD-RW's (which store information a little differently than standard CDs.
But some players, especially older or cheaper...

The Resample DSP is used when converting an audio file from one frequency (say 44.1 kHz) to an audio file in the same or another format at a different frequency (say 48 or 24 kHz)....
I'm not sure if I understand what you are asking.
My understanding is that ReplayGain can be applied non-destructively (meaning without altering the characteristics of the original audio file)...

dBpoweramp music converter's (dMC) abilities to alter audio content is in the DSP Effects.
You can find a description of these effects here:...
You can try the tips here:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/legacy-compatibility.htm
which includes a download link for dMC r11.5.
Please note that you need to be scrupulous about installing dMC...
dBpowerAMP Music converter contained a feature known as Auxiliary Input from (I believe) version 4 up to version 11.5. With Auxiliary Input you could record music as it was being played/processed...
It may be that your FLAC file is corrupt or perhaps copy-protected.
Usually a corrupt FLAC file cannot be played but there are FLAC files that are corrupt and that are playable but cannot be...
When you right-click on a music file and select "convert to" from the menu and a window opens saying dBpoweramp Music Converter.
At the top left hand side is a box that reads "converting to."

Auxiliary Input was a feature of dMC up to dMC r11.5. When dMC was re-deigned (starting with r 12.0) Auxiliary Input was not included. This was a popular feature but is not likely to re-appear.
As...
Volume normalize will change the audio qualities of a file. It can introduce undesirable changes, especially if your settings introduce too much gain.
The best plan would be to use the ReplayGain...
I've seen this before. Essentially what is happening in this case is that a conversion succeeds in establishing a shell for the converted file and then fails. You can scan your music collection to...
As far as I know, the FLAC files should be exactly the same quality as the soource they were taken from. You can't use AccurateRip except when you are ripping audio files from a standard audio cd...
The install file for dBpoweramp Music Converter does not contain many codecs, (even for the full reference version). Rather than try to cram in as many codecs as possible (most of which are of little...
Yes, you lose the ability to convert to mp3 (but not, I believe, to convert from mp3) with the free version. This is because there is a patent on the technology underlying the mp3 codec and the...
Codecs are sub-programs that allow a music converting (or music playing or music burning) program translate music from one format (like mp3 or WMA) to another. A codec may only help the program read...

I'm not sure where the problem might lie.
You might try restarting your computer and trying again.
Did you enable buffer underwrite protection when you were trying to burn the CD?
(This...
Try this thread here for information (hopefully still current) on accessing and using the dAP beta 3 r6 player:

What is the sample rate, the bit setting and number of channels of your original .flac files?
If these are other than 16 bit, 2-channel, 44.1 kHz files, you may need to use the DSP...
You might want to see if dMC r14 will convert other files. If your .m4a file is an iTunes download, it may well be copy-protected. In that case, dMC cannot convert it directly.
Best wishes,
Bill
Jeff-
Have you tried the Help files?
Open CD Ripper and click on the red ? icon.
As far as the problem you describe, have you configured your drive(s) for AccurateRip?
If so, is this problem...

Auxiliary input (which is only available with versions of dbpoweramp Music Converter 11.5 or EARLIER) does not remove clicks, pops, or scratches. Rumble or hiss might be affected somewhat by...
I believe that you do need to right-click, convert to m4a format under the same specifications (frequency, bitrate, channels) with the DSP applied. If the files are copy-protected, you won't be able...
